Food intolerances can make you feel really ill. We often crave
those foods for which we are intolerant. If you eat the same foods
everyday, you may create sensitivities for yourself.
Usually the foods that we crave or are intolerant to are the ones
that cause us gain to weight, digestive disorders, imbalances and a
host of other ails.
If you are food intolerant, a delayed immune response occurs in
your body. In other words, your immune system will not work
properly. This can happen over several hours or days after the
offending food is ingested.
Food intolerances can also cause Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS),
skin eruptions, ulcerations, Crohn’s disease, colic, ear problems,
migraines, asthma, eczema, bloating, lethargy, constipation,
diarrhoea, arthritis, fibromyagia, psoriasis, tiredness. Just to
name a few.
Food intolerances can also have a direct effect on the
assimilation of nutrients, digestive function and weight
management.
Therefore, food intolerance testing is an essential biochemical
analysis which we have done for many years at The Natural Health
Clinic with great success for patients to get them well.
There are three (3) food intolerance tests which we can do for
you:
1) FOOD INDICATOR INTOLERANCE TEST (£20)
This Food Indicator Intolerance Test will ascertain if you indeed
have any food intolerances or sensitivities. You do this test
before embarking upon any other test. Once the results are back to
you, then we can decide if you need any further testing.
If it turns out after taking our Food Indicator Intolerance Test
that you indeed have food sensitivities, then you will need to
take one of the more advanced Food Intolerance Tests below,
whereby you can check for whether 42 foods or 113 foods. For our own
patients at The Natural Health Clinic, I normally recommend that
they get tested for the full 113 foods if the simplest test
confirms intolerances.
You will learn once and for all for which exact foods you are
actually sensitive.
2) 42 FOODS INTOLERANCE TEST (£135)
This test checks the most common 42 foods in groupings to see if
you are sensitive or intolerant.
3) 113 FOODS INTOLERANCE TEST (£260)
This is the most utilised test at The Clinic, since it check or
sensitivities or intolerances to such a strong array of different
food we all at some point consume. 113 different most common foods
are analysed
Gastrointestinal Tract
This advanced comprehensive stool analysis uses the latest
technology and scientific advances to evaluate and provide quick
assessment of digestion, absorption, and colon environment, such a
test is able to reveal whether the underlying problem is
pancreatic insufficiency, malabsorption , yeast over growth,
bacterial imbalance – or a more serious illness such as colitis,
irritable bowel syndrome, Crohn’s disease or Ulcerative Colitis.
The Natural Health Clinic offers 50 specialized diagnostic
profiles including tests for metering digestive, immunity and
hormone function, for rating nutritional balance, and for
assessing detoxification capacity.

Trace minerals analysis is a test which measures the mineral
content of your hair. The mineral content of your hair reflects
the mineral content of the body’s tissues. If a mineral deficiency
exists in the hair, it usually indicates a mineral deficiency or
excess within the body, or bio-unavailability.
An example of this is if your hair reveals an elevated calcium
level two or three times above normal level, then your calcium
level within the body may also be elevated. If this is the case a
strong tendency exists for arteriosclerosis (hardening of the
arteries due to calcium plaques). If your calcium level is low,
then a tendency exists towards osteoporosis demineralisation of
the bone), increases tendency to bone fractures, dental cavities,
periodontal disease, muscle cramps etc.
Various mineral imbalances, as revealed by hair analysis,
frequently lead to metabolic
Dysfunctions before any symptoms manifest. Thus the benefits of
testing are obvious.
Other conditions which may result or be aggravated by a mineral
imbalance include:
● Allergies ● Anaemia ● Anxiety ● Arthritis
● Cardio-vascular Disease ● Depression ● Diabetes
● Digestive Disturbances ● Emotional Problems ● Hypoglycaemia
● Hyperactivity ● Headaches ● Hypertension ● Hair Loss
● Musculo-Skeletal Disorders ● Prostate Disorders ● Skin Rashes
● Thyroid Disturbance ● Weight Loss/Gain
Why test for minerals?
Minerals are the ‘sparkplugs’ of life. They are involved in almost
all enzyme reaction within the body. Without enzyme activity, life
ceases to exist. A trace mineral analysis is preventative as well
as being useful as a screening tool.
Who needs a hair analysis?
Anyone who has unexplained illness or malaise, or here the cause
seems to be found but therapy is not wholly effective. Hair
analysis opens up a whole new vista for the solving of your own
particular problem by recognising your biochemical individuality.
Even if you are not experiencing a severe problem, abnormal
changes in body nutritional deficiencies may result in early,
subtle changes in the body such as:
● White spots in fingernails – indicates possible zinc deficiency
● Longitudinal ridging in nails – indicates an iron deficiency
● Brittle nails and hair – calcium and copper imbalance
● Deep grooves across nails – calcium deficiency
● Stretch marks – zinc deficiency
● Mood swings – possible toxic meal accumulation such as lead,
mercury or cadmium.
The above indications are early signs of metabolic disturbances
and may lead to serious problems if left unchecked.
Common causes of a mineral imbalance:
● Improper diet – such as excessive intake of refined
carbohydrates and sugars, strict vegetarian dits or other
exclusive diets.
● Taking vitamins and minerals that are not compatible with your
body’s current chemistry
● Medications
● Birth control pills
● Stress
● Accumulation of toxic metals from the environment, job or hobby
● Inheritance of mineral patterns from parents
Hair analysis is an invaluable screening tool which allows a
correct programme of diet and supplementation to be designed for
each individual’s specific needs. Never before has there been
available a metabolic blueprint which such a degree of applicable
scientific accuracy.
